Sculpt, Melt & Shine: Craft and Cast Your Unique Jewelry

This hands-on workshop lets you experience every step of creating a piece of jewelry using one of the oldest techniques: SAND CASTING. You’ll carve hard wax to shape your design, create a sand mold, melt silver with a large torch, and pour the molten metal into the mold. Finally, you’ll refine and finish your unique silver piece. Course details

This is an intensive fun workshop where you’ll explore two ancient and fascinating techniques. It’s one of our absolute favorites! We’ll begin with sculpting hard wax, where each student will create the shape of a ring or pendant. To ensure the workshop runs smoothly within the set time, the instructor will provide guidance and examples to follow. Once your wax model is ready, we’ll move on to the most thrilling part: red sand casting! Each student will imprint their wax model into a special sand mold, melt silver using a torch, and pour the molten metal into the mold. The results are always surprising, and we’re confident this workshop will be an unforgettable experience for you! The final stage involves finishing your silver piece. You’ll use a handsaw, files, and polishing tools to refine your creation. By the end of the workshop, your handcrafted piece will be polished, finished, and ready to wear or proudly show off!
